 Bernard Joseph ‘Bernie’

passed away peacefully on Monday December 8th, 2025.

 On the 13th of December it would have been his 87th birthday, much longer than his lifestyle would have suggested by his own admission.

 He was the proud husband to Carolyn; they met in 1966.

 Dad to Damien, Lynette, Erin, Karen, Annette, and Stephen and

Pa to Alex, Ryan, Ayden, Caleb, Harper, Vance, Isabelle and Oliver.

 

He was a farmer, councillor, businessman, miner, land developer,

car enthusiast/racer & restorer, mentor, historian, enthusiastic debater and much more.

Rest in Peace Bernie.

 Mass of Thanksgiving to celebrate the life of ‘Bernie’ will be held at

 St. Therese’s Catholic Church, Kennington on FRIDAY (December 19th, 2025)

 commencing at 12 noon.

The cortege will leave at the conclusion of Mass for the White Hills Lawn Cemetery.

Adored Aunty to Jeffery & Sharon, Carl & Tui, Neil & Ebb and extended family. A treasured friend to many. Joans loss leaves an enormous emptiness in our family, especially in the heart of her beloved sister, but the beautiful memories we shared will remain forever.
