 Bernard Joseph ‘Bernie’

passed away peacefully on Monday December 8th, 2025.

 On the 13th of December it would have been his 87th birthday, much longer than his lifestyle would have suggested by his own admission.

 He was the proud husband to Carolyn; they met in 1966.

 Dad to Damien, Lynette, Erin, Karen, Annette, and Stephen and

Pa to Alex, Ryan, Ayden, Caleb, Harper, Vance, Isabelle and Oliver.

 

He was a farmer, councillor, businessman, miner, land developer,

car enthusiast/racer & restorer, mentor, historian, enthusiastic debater and much more.

Rest in Peace Bernie.

 Mass of Thanksgiving to celebrate the life of ‘Bernie’ will be held at

 St. Therese’s Catholic Church, Kennington on FRIDAY (December 19th, 2025)

 commencing at 12 noon.

The cortege will leave at the conclusion of Mass for the White Hills Lawn Cemetery.

YOUNG (McPherson) Julie Grace of Charlton passed away peacefully on Jan 25 th 2026, aged 68 years. Julie was a much loved wife, mother of 3, stepmother to 3, Grandmother to 14, and Great Grandmother to 3. Remembered with love A memorial service will be held for Julie, they will be advertised at a later date.

RENFREY Stephen Edward of Charlton passed away peacefully on the 15 th Jan. 2026 aged 64 years. Dearly loved husband of Tamara. Loving father of Warren and Elesha. Adored Poppy Steve of Rylie, Jordan, Marcus; Paige, Lilly and Cameron. We knew the time was coming, When we would have to say ‘goodbye’ There was no gift more we treasured Than you in your yesterdays. Singing with the Angels. You will always be in our hearts.  RENFREY A service of celebration for Stephen will be held in Charlton Uniting Church Hall on FRIDAY JAN. 23 rd at 11.00 am. A private cremation will then be held.
